Wabash River Trail
Blending a community pathway, river recreation, canal history, and land conservation, the Wabash River Trail runs from Wabash to Lagro. Following the Wabash River for 7 miles, the WRT creates trailheads, provides opportunities for fishing, canoe access to the river, scenic overlooks, and more. Plan to experience the best of the region's small towns, active communities, pastoral landscapes, farm country, and historic features.
Cycling
The WRT provides 7 miles of paved trail and minimal road crossings.
Boat Access
The boat launch in Lagro provides access to the Wabash River with opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.
Running/Walking
With minimal traffic crossings, the trail provides an excellent opportunity for long walks and runs.
Wildlife Viewing
The trail provides vistas for optimal viewing of bald eagles and other river wildlife.
